Luxembourg. On solid ground.
Luxembourg is the biggest centre for investment funds in Europe and it takes a leading role worldwide in administering and holding cross-border investment vehicles. Funds registered in Luxembourg are sold in about 50 countries around the world. In addition, Luxembourg benefits from a regulatory environment that facilitates the greatest possibilities for configuration while taking account of national legal requirements on the investor's part, thereby providing maximal flexibility for the fund initiator. There is an equally wide range of possible fund and legal forms, including funds for public sale, special funds for institutional investors, real estate funds or hedge funds. In fact, there are virtually no limits on the form of funds in Luxembourg. All funds are subject to supervision by the CSSF. The way in which the individual fund structures and legal forms differ can be found in the brief presentation attached.
